Hector has been an outstanding service tech for my Infinity Unit over the last several years. His professionalism along with his knowledge of the product and his ability to deal with most any service related situation that may present itself certainly is a credit to your company name. In addition, Hector's quite confident demeanor is indeed reassuring to me as a customer, knowing that my unit will be serviced correctly the first time without fail. This is why I request him whenever my A/C unit is in need of service.

Gainesville is a city rich in history, culture and gorgeous natural parks. Before the Spanish arrived in the 16th century, the city was inhabited by an Indian civilization known as the Timucuan. Abundant game, clean lakes, spacious prairies and a rich soil made the area an excellent place for everyday living. Eventually, ranchers established the renowned cattle ranch on Payne’s Prairie, and Franciscan priests established missions. The English and their Indian allies demolished these missions in the early 1700s. Although the Seminole War slowed progress, the Florida Railroad spurred trading and settlement. By 1860, Gainesville had over 200 residents. Gainesville was a major stronghold for the Confederate Commissary during the Civil War and was home to two major battles. During Reconstruction, schools were established, and Gainesville’s population had grown to 1,400 residents. The city was a busy mercantile center for vegetable and cotton crops.
By the 1880s, the city had continued to grow and develop and had electric lights, city water, paved streets, an opera house and telephones. At this time, Gainesville had approximately 3,000 residents. By the 20th century, Gainesville had a whopping 32,000 people. It was also during this period that Gainesville was chosen as the site for the University of Florida. During the 1930s, the university helped the city weather the storms of the Great Depression and the land boom collapse. Today, about 125,000 people call Gainesville home.
Go Outdoors in Gainesville
With an abundance of parks, rivers and lakes, Gainesville offers world-class kayaking, canoeing, fishing, diving and snorkeling. Devil’s Millhopper, San Felasco Hammock Preserve and Payne’s Prairie offer plenty of opportunity to enjoy Gainesville’s natural playground. Take hikes along the rolling hills and upland forests to get a close look at the wildlife and discover all the sinkholes. At River Rise Preserve State Park, visitors can enjoy a day of hiking, biking, fishing and horseback riding. With many sinkhole lakes, 18 different natural communities and limestone outcroppings, there’s always something fun to discover. Equestrians can even camp overnight with their horses.
Experience Arts and Culture
The Dudley Farm is a favorite of locals and tourists alike. This farm is a unique 325-acre working “Cracker” farm. Here, you can discover what life was like from the pioneer days through 1945. At the University Auditorium, you can catch plays and concerts. Learn all about the town’s history, from the early Native Americans through the Seminole Wars and Civil War at the Micanopy Historical Society Museum. For a Broadway-like show, the Constans Theater is both intimate and exciting. At the University Galleries, there are hundreds of displays of both vintage and contemporary art.
Do Some Shopping
The downtown area has an eclectic mix of malls, galleries, boutiques and stores. The Union Street Station Pedestrian Mall and the Farmer’s Market are popular shopping venues. Through the city, there are also old-fashioned stores in Tioga Town Center and Haile Village. The surrounding smaller towns feature a wide array of road-side antique shops.
